The Muslim Marriage Rejuvenation Retreat was possibly the most meaningful effort we have put into our marriage since our Nikkah. Like most Muslims, we jumped into our marriage, not understanding the intricacies of spending our life with each other. We eventually figured out a system that “worked, ” not necessarily helping us thrive and grow our relationship.

Alhumdullilah, this retreat really helped us step away from our day-to-day and look at our relationship holistically and from an Islamic lens. It provided us with tools. framework and guidance for us to navigate the difficult challenges in our marriage. The most amazing part was both Ustada and Shaykh provided us with live examples of how to handle various situations that will come up in our marriage.

The location is breathtaking; it is a very comfortable, high-scale campground nestled away in the Big Bear mountains. The staff and amenities were much needed, as they allowed us to really relax and focus on each other during our time at the retreat. We were sad to be leaving the resort as it really was an amazing location combined with an amazing learning retreat.

The overall experience was phenomenal, and we both highly recommend the retreat to all of our friends. Whether you are newly married or have been married for over 10 years, this retreat helps you learn some useful fundamental skills needed in a successful Muslim marriage.

It was really touching to deal with sensitive topics which allowed us to explore ourselves and each other more. Very raw and real emotions with the tools to deal with them properly to help them grow rather than meet them with criticism and harshness.

This was an amazing program mashallah. In all honesty, it was draining. But that’s because we had the opportunity to talk about really deep things and connect with each other’s inner selves. It’s taxing to do that, but the benefit is immense Alhamdullilah. I love the emphasis on friendship as the basis of the relationship. We would recommend it to anyone else, newly married or long time married. Would love to have attended in a retreat setting. The combination of role plays, questionnaires, and couples’ exercises were very effective in teaching how to engage the material. Loved it!

The quality – occasion exercise was powerful. It allowed my spouse to express how he feels [about] and sees me. Such feelings are never shared.
